You guys don't deserve to be left in the dark, so here's what's been going on behind the scenes. Since the last blogpost, the project has died, been reborn, and died again due to creative differences, management issues, and other commitments. We were hoping to update everyone with another blogpost when we had a lot to show off, or even a demo ready, but the project fell apart before we reached that point.
I've started tinkering with Momcest Trainer again in the past week, but I'm primarily a programmer, not a writer or artist. Many sex scenes and random events still need to be written. Once I have some more cash, I will probably try to commission an artist or two to draw the required characters and sex scenes, as well as a near-infinite supply of clothing. I expect to wait until the writing is almost complete before shifting focus to the art, though.
I know it hasn't been fun for you guys for the past several months, and I apologize. Your interest and support means a lot to me, and I hope you know that I want to play Momcest Trainer as much as you do.

Progress Report: October 17, 2016
Hello again, and thank you for your patience! The past month has seen a slew of notable Momcest Trainer developments.
We wanted to get your opinions on the base sprites before we start churning out clothing for them to wear. As you can see below, we have two different characters drawn. One will end up as the mom, and the other will be used as another character, such as the son's teacher.
We were thinking this design would make for a good mom:
As would this one, or possibly for the son's teacher:
Let us know what you think in the comment section below!
There is also programming-related news. The mom will now more intelligently tint her clothing so that the colors are more likely to match, reducing the likelihood of fashion disasters. The card collection system mentioned in the previous blogpost has been more fully fleshed out, and is set to be an integral part of the game's progression system. With these cards, you will be able to permanently unlock clothing and personality changes for the mom, as well as the main series of sex scenes.
Lastly, we are still interested in working with more programmers, artists, and especially writers because there are still many scenes left to write. If you think you have what it takes, please feel free to email me at tyroflux@gmail.com, preferably with some examples of your other work.
Art
I'll jump right into the best part first: artists Excurcio and Azalenth have joined the project and have been hard at work concepting a new look for the mom! I know many of you have become attached to the Akabur art we've been using, but as the project progresses, it is necessary that we move away from using other people's artwork. I hope you'll agree that the new versions are even better! We wanted to get your opinions on the base sprites before we start churning out clothing for them to wear. Progress Report: September 18, 2016
Hi everyone,
Rest assured that Momcest Trainer's development is progressing gradually but smoothly. Our team is now comprised of one programmer and a few very talented writers who are busy ironing out the story and detailing scenes.
The implementation of the light gameplay elements I alluded to in the previous blogpost has long been complete, but I'd like them to remain a small surprise for now. Our team has been spending time trying to nail down a slightly more active gameplay system, but this is not yet at a point where I can share details. I have more or less implemented a card collection system in Unity in line with our original pitch, but the look and purpose of these cards are still subject to change. I hope to be able to share more details in the future.
Story-wise, we are planning on replacing Pepe with a succubus whose sphere of influence will grow in size and power as the game progresses. We are also considering a greater focus on light mind control elements.
Idle animation logic has been implemented for the mom's sprite, so you can look forward to her blinking, breathing, and slowly swaying. Hopefully this will make her feel more alive.
We are still interested in recruiting more writers and artists. If you are interested in helping out, please email me at tyroflux@gmail.com with some sample work, if possible.

From the Wreckage: August 12, 2016
Hello again!
As you may have guessed, Momcest Trainer's development has been essentially dead for the past few months. I no longer had the time necessary to devote to it, and as anyone else who has tried to collaborate online knows, it can be difficult to maintain a team of unpaid volunteers. I sincerely apologize for the lack of communication, but I want you all to know that your interest continues to mean a lot to me.
I've begun working on Momcest Trainer again over the past week or so, but there's still much to be done. The UI has been updated in an effort to move away from reusing Akabur's assets (where possible). I should finish implementing some light gameplay elements very soon, which will help define the game's structure/progression. In general, I'd like to focus on breadth for the time being, which is a requirement before the mom's transformation can be properly conveyed--for example, the gradual changing of her wardrobe and vocabulary is basically implemented but requires a framework of the game to function. I'm also hoping it will help give any future artists more direction.
Speaking of which, I am interested in collaborating with both artists and writers--a necessity if the game's development is to ramp back up. Several talented artists have contacted me since the last blogpost, but I have not yet gone forward with any of them, primarily because it may still be too early to bring an artist on board. However, if you would like to work together when the time comes, please send me an email at tyroflux@gmail.com with an example or two of some of your previous work. I know it's not ideal, but I can't offer any pay. If (and that's "if", not "when") a Patreon is established sometime down the line, as some people have requested, you would of course be entitled to a retroactive commission.
Those interested in writing should have more to do in the immediate future. If you have experience or want to try your hand at writing some smut, you can view some of our work-in-progress content and ideas here, most notably this list of anticipated sex scenes. Since our tech demo was released, I've come to the conclusion that scenes do not have to be long to be erotic, and more choices do not necessarily correlate with quality. Please feel free to email me at tyroflux@gmail.com with any questions or with whole scenes if you do not want to bother with requesting write access to the Git repository.
Finally, for anyone else who would still like to help out, it would speed things up considerably (once things get rolling) to have assistance formatting the script or assigning facial expressions for the mom. This can be tedious work, but it is also important and will absolutely be appreciated. If you think you might be willing to spare some time in the future, shoot me an email at tyroflux@gmail.com and I'll see if anyone can help as needed.
Thank you, everyone, for reading, and thank you for your ongoing support. I promise to do my best to ensure Momcest Trainer lives up to your expectations.

We're Going Open Source!
We're happy to announce that Momcest Trainer is now open source, so it's easier than ever to contribute to the project as a programmer, artist, or writer. You're also free to use its groundwork to create your own game in the Unity engine.
We're hosting the project at https://gitgud.io/tyroflux/MomcestTrainer, and we've tried to provide all the information you'll need to get started there.
Although the game is nowhere near finished, the code is now public, so we thought we might as well save you the trouble of compiling it yourselves. If you are hellbent on being disappointed with a tech demo that has only two kissing scenes, you can use these links to download the current build for Windows, Mac, or Linux.

Art Update: February 10, 2016
We're still on the lookout for artists who are interested in contributing to the project. In the meantime, we've returned to using Akabur's art (and clothing the community has made to work with his base model). I wanted to share some screenshots of outfits the mom can randomly put together using this new wardrobe.

Artists Wanted: February 1, 2016
With the presumed departure of our artist, Momcest Trainer is now looking for one or more talented people who can create characters, clothing, facial expressions, and full-screen graphics. Please shoot me an email at tyroflux@gmail.com if you think you might be interested in helping out.
Thank you!
Thank you!
