I'll jump right into the best part first: artists Excurcio and Azalenth have joined the project and have been hard at work concepting a new look for the mom! I know many of you have become attached to the Akabur art we've been using, but as the project progresses, it is necessary that we move away from using other people's artwork. I hope you'll agree that the new versions are even better!We wanted to get your opinions on the base sprites before we start churning out clothing for them to wear. As you can see below, we have two different characters drawn. One will end up as the mom, and the other will be used as another character, such as the son's teacher.

Programming
There is also programming-related news. The mom will now more intelligently tint her clothing so that the colors are more likely to match, reducing the likelihood of fashion disasters. The card collection system mentioned in the previous blogpost has been more fully fleshed out, and is set to be an integral part of the game's progression system. With these cards, you will be able to permanently unlock clothing and personality changes for the mom, as well as the main series of sex scenes.
Lastly, we are still interested in working with more programmers, artists, and especially writers because there are still many scenes left to write. If you think you have what it takes, please feel free to email me at tyroflux@gmail.com, preferably with some examples of your other work.

ReplyDeleteAs for the mom's look, I really don't like the style of the work, it really bothers me. Just a good tip, most people now-a-days prefer 2d girls that look a lot like anime characters..
I prefer Azalenth's version. Red Hair will really look good. Keep up the good work!.

ReplyDelete... though as a side request/note, the mac version of the last demo you released never worked for me..... and boy did I try.
My personal opinion is that the breasts on the first set of designs could be larger, and I wouldn't even mind Azalenth's design having somewhat larger breasts.

ReplyDeleteI greatly prefer the first set for the mom. Azalenth's set is good, but seems more angular, a bit too sharp. I would also like to see larger breasts on the first set (at least a little larger). But that's minor stuff.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to give any advice at all, it would be to pay a lot of attention to the facial expressions! If they're done well, then it adds a lot to the effectiveness of the story.
Nice work on the new cards. The font's a bit hard to read but the overall design looks good!
Tyro I see in a preious your answer u said that a small realease was almost done...so there are any chance that u can up a realease soon with the first erothic/sexual scenes?Ty tyro,good work!

DeleteI love the mom set, its perfect. But jesus, the teacher really needs her boobs reduced! Every game out there has its characters with cartoonish excessively large breats, and i think you guys really shouldn't go that way. Perky breasts are awesome, they don't need to be the size of a house.

ReplyDeleteWell I just checked the repository for the code, and Tyroflux is working on it. It was updated about 10 days ago, seems like a decent amount of work is being done. He just isn't telling us all what is going on.

ReplyDeleteJust an idea from one small game developer to another, choose a day and do updates on that day every week. That way even if not much was accomplished, the community knows progress is at least still being made. Games looking good though, keep up the good work!

ReplyDeleteIt has been over a month since even the people working on this game have had any contact from Tyroflux. This was after a month of very little direction to begin with, meaning there has been very little progress since this update was made more than two months ago. I wouldn't feel comfortable saying that the project is "dead" but it's basically on life support and in a coma showing no signs of recovery. Every attempt to try to make forward progress by the team of people working on this has been met with little to no response from the head, causing everyone else to just go about their lives and basically forget about this project. I'd be afraid that TF will figure out who I am on the team after posting this and 'kick me off' but since he's been MIA for more then 4 weeks anyways, It's not really a big concern of mine.
ReplyDeleteSorry to anyone else who had their hopes up, but I would say this one is probably all but dead and gone. On the off chance that TF does see this, he should know he has, or at least had, a team of great people working for him. A bit more direction, focus, and attention would have served this project so well. It's quite a shame.
