Progress Report: September 18, 2016

Hi everyone,

Rest assured that Momcest Trainer's development is progressing gradually but smoothly.  Our team is now comprised of one programmer and a few very talented writers who are busy ironing out the story and detailing scenes.

The implementation of the light gameplay elements I alluded to in the previous blogpost has long been complete, but I'd like them to remain a small surprise for now.  Our team has been spending time trying to nail down a slightly more active gameplay system, but this is not yet at a point where I can share details.  I have more or less implemented a card collection system in Unity in line with our original pitch, but the look and purpose of these cards are still subject to change.  I hope to be able to share more details in the future.

Story-wise, we are planning on replacing Pepe with a succubus whose sphere of influence will grow in size and power as the game progresses.  We are also considering a greater focus on light mind control elements.

Idle animation logic has been implemented for the mom's sprite, so you can look forward to her blinking, breathing, and slowly swaying.  Hopefully this will make her feel more alive.

We are still interested in recruiting more writers and artists.  If you are interested in helping out, please email me at tyroflux@gmail.com with some sample work, if possible.

  2. I haven't been following too closely, so I'm not entirely sure, but if Pepe is supposed to be male (as the name suggests to me,) that would make him an incubus. Just a heads up in case my assumption is correct and some game text needs to be altered.

  3. I'll be sad to see Pepe go.
That benevolent frog-entity just wanted his chicken tendies :(
Congrats on all the other progress though, looks like things are coming along nicely.

  4. I like the new ideas and I also really appreciate the idea to implement a succubus instead Pepe. He is funny but I think a succubus fits better into the story. Really happy to see the progression of this project :)

I actually prefer Pepe to magic and mind control.

I understand if you don't want le ebin maymays in the game, but magical succubus mind control has been done a million times already. I'm sure there are plenty of people who like it, but I'm extremely tired of it by now.

I also don't like the idea of somebody else being the instigator. I'd prefer if the main character was the person driving everything, without some magic slut demon egging him on.

In addition, adding demons and mind control just makes the whole thing seem sort of "fake" or "hollow". I can't really explain why. It just feels unnecessary for a game about a modern day guy in a modern day world being a modern day pervert to have a demon thrown in.

    1. i agree that today mind control games are really boring and unintresting but about pepe...for me it's better bc i just feel it awkward when son looks way older than mom..(in most of the games he's mentioned as an old man) so yeah i'm really glad that he's gonna be replaced...good job tyro

I don't mind them getting rid of Pepe (that's sad but completely understandable), but I still don't like 'magic demon mind control'. It feels out of place in a modern day setting, and it's been done to death.

It's been a while since I played the game, but does there even need to be a Pepe/succubus character at all? Can't the main character just be a pervert?

    3. I am sorry to say that, but I agree with my colledues up to here :) The good of the game was that...There was not any mind control, the character/hero could convice mother without any magic tricks...I think the card 'type' game u could use in other way without any needs of mind control theme.I hope Tyro will see these comments and agree with us,cuz the game seems gonna be really, really good!Bye all,I could not way anymore for the new release :p Bye!

    4. Why dont you all just let the dev do things his way. Check to see how it plays out AFTER he implements the changes before you say you dont like it. Because there are many different ways that things can be done.

IE: Demon influence. Your family is in the southern USA (Large church influence), and the forces of Lust / Evil are trying to get control of the area from the church, or good / purity, what ever. So they send one of their commanders to find people in the area to help with the seduction / corruption of the area.

Or maybe the Son accidently opens a portal to an alternate dimension while using Google magic, or some book he got from the local magic store (what ever term your city uses for pagan / occult stores). What ever.

Another option, maybe there is some demon blood in his family line and the demon helping him seduce his mom is actually part of his family and is doing things for what ever reason.

As for Mind control, I am a huge fan of it. It doesnt bother me if it is light, or hard. I actually enjoy the aspect of forcing idea's, or what ever on others (in a game setting, not RL) Forcing someone to change their interests, desires, standards or what ever is fine. Especially if it uses some kind of corruption setting, where someone gets kinkier the more corrupt they get.

So the comment area should be cheerleading and nothing else?

"Check to see how it plays out AFTER he implements the changes before you say you dont like it."
You're basically saying 'Don't offer suggestions or criticism until it's too late to actually change anything.'

"Because there are many different ways that things can be done."
And I dislike all of them, because, like I said, I don't think magic fits into this sort of world. Tacking on 'oh, and also magic exists' to a modern day setting almost always ends up feeling cheap and forced.

"As for Mind control, I am a huge fan of it."
There are already a million MC games out there. Not every corruption game has to have mind control.

    6. Well if you want a game that has the elements that you need / want / require... Then go ahead and make your own, I am sure that people will enjoy it.

As for the person above you saying just let the dev try shit his way.... Well it is his game, and his choice how things get done so I agree with him. As for your comment about cheerleading... No just try to respect the Dev and realize that your views arent the only ones out there, also suggestions are fine, but in the long run if you want certain elements in the game, then try to contribute and help make it the way you want it.

As for MC / corruption, there may be a lot of both styles.... But why would you criticize someone elses likes especially since he didnt attack you or your likes. He was just saying let the dev do his thing. Nor was he saying shit about all games have to have it, pretty sure he just said he liked the way it was going. So chill Anon.

Or I could tell a guy who was already making such a game: 'I, and apparently some others, liked that game you were originally making, and we'd prefer if you didn't change direction.'

"try to respect the Dev and realize that your views arent the only ones out there"
Offering ones opinion = Disrespecting the dev and claiming that one's views are the only ones out there

"But why would you criticize someone elses likes especially since he didnt attack you or your likes."
Where, exactly, did I do that?

"Nor was he saying shit about all games have to have it"
If somebody tells a restaurant owner that his business should refocus the menu on hamburgers and fries when there are already 5 McDonalds in the area, he rightfully invites criticism from people who thought that they might finally get something new.

      "So chill Anon."
      Condescending twit.

  11. I'm glad progress is being made and I look forward to seeing how things are progressing.

As for the mind control bits, I'm actually OK with this as long as it isn't a total control. Maybe more like something that lowers inhibitions but still requires the player to make a push.

  12. Looking forward to this!

    1. One of the downsides of the Unity game engine is that even the most basic of games requires a large minimum file size when compiled--it must include a bunch of stuff by default.
